CrashSplat, BANG! is the personal blog of Jared Peterson, a husband, father, and web application developer living in Raleigh, North Carolina.  There is actually some thought behind the name:

  1. Crash - I have a lot of different interests.  I love technology, software development, music, movies, my family, and my faith.  So this blog represents a lot of those things coming together.  Unfortunately, this may seem disorganized and chaotic at times.  It might seem as if these things were “crashing” together.
  2. Splat - It might get messy.  All of these things have been thrown on the ground, and “splat”.  Also the “*” (splat) in programming represents a “wildcard”.  You are effectively saying, “show me everything”.
  3. It might be loud.  I love music.  I love to play music.  I love to listen to music.  So, if it’s possible for a blog to be LOUD, THEN THIS BLOG MAY BE LOUD!  The “!” (bang) also has significance in software development.Â
